About Dry Hill Press

Dry Hill Press is named after a 10 square mile area along the county line between Manistee and Benzie Counties, Michigan, a mile north of the Lake Michigan village of Arcadia. I spent some of my childhood years there and worked there as a teenager on family farms. This site is a way for me to share and publish some of the pieces of local and family history in documents, pictures and stories I inherited, as well as research I’ve done over the years. A lot of the material is from this part of Michigan, but there will be pieces from other states and countries. Please feel free to contact me with comments about the articles and pieces.
